Sapphires are the usual birthstone for September. The sapphire represents clear thinking, joy, faith, foresight, and peace. Sapphires can also be created. Man-made sapphires, like other man-made gems are beautiful and much more affordable than their natural counterparts. Birthstone rings can be made with a real or a synthetic gems. In either case, the stone is already set on a band of gold or silver.

You could use a single sapphire by iteself or a sapphire paired with two diamonds to create a beautiful engagement or anniversary ring.
